Prestigious Microsoft Gold Partner is seeking a Project Manager to work on managing projects for their local client base. Managing projects pertaining to VMware, Azure, Citrix, Exchange, etc. is something we are looking for. Position of Project Manager is to manage project through full life cycle from initiation through project close. Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects. Work closely with client and internal team members to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on-time, within scope and meets client and project objectives.

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for pre-sales proposal with clients and sales team
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Project scheduling - develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/sub-contractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Manage project team - provide leadership and direction to the onsite/remote project engineering staff. Conduct regularly scheduled project meetings with client and internal staff to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize a variety of risks
  • Managing projects within the corporate project management system (ConnectWise)
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in the fields of business, computer science, or engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
  • Various courses and certifications from key software and hardware providers, such as:

o Microsoft, HP, Cisco Systems, Citrix, VMware, Veritas, Veeam

o Technical writing, scheduling and budgeting.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work with a distributed team and communicate effectively
  • Proven management skills
  • Knowledge of technical skill sets or team members required to successfully complete a project - in depth understanding of information technology systems.
  • Understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development methodologies
