Associate Director - Student Involvement and Leadership The Associate Director of Student Involvement and Leadership is
responsible for creating a dynamic student engagement experience
with well-trained staff who are dedicated to student and leadership
development. The Associate Director provides activities and
programs to help cultivate a positive co-curricular program
fostering student involvement, learning, and personal
development.
The Associate Director will be expected to work with
colleagues to create an engagement model grounded in the Social
Change Model of Leadership Development that reinforces UM-Flint's
commitment to diversity and inclusion. The Associate Director will
assist with policies, standards, and goals for the department which
are consistent with the mission and goals of the University and the
Division of Student Affairs. The Associate Director represents the
department through service on University and student
committees.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in college student personnel services, student
affairs, higher education administration, or a related field is
required
5 years of professional experience working in fraternity and
sorority life, leadership programming, student activities, or
related higher education experience is required
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of best practices in
fraternity and sorority life, student activities and/or student
leadership required.
Demonstrated supervisory experience and the ability to motivate
and lead a team is required.
Demonstrated understanding of student development issues in a
post-secondary environment.
Proven strong communication skills.
Some budgeting and financial management knowledge and/or
experience is required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
