The Role:
- An experienced Regional Risk Manager and Legal Counsel is required to act as the primary contact advising on diverse risk issues within the firm.
- Working alongside key regional stakeholders considering strategic and operational risk matters and subsequently communication risk messages to be cascaded internally within the region.
- The Legal Counsel will work with Risk Partners, RMPs, OMPs, CMPs and local leadership contacts to identify and understand risk and compliance matters.
- Contribution to the Annual Action Plan and other risk priorities in the wider firm, ensuring all aspects are properly considered.
- Responsibilities will also include leading and managing the local team to ensure all proper resources are in place to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements:
- You will have a sound understanding of contemporary risk practice as well as a solid understanding of law.
- Confident acting in sometimes ambiguous situations with a flexible approach to work.
- A solid track record delivering Risk solutions in complex, international and matrix management settings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to positively persuade and make an impact.
- Must have a law degree and current practicing certificate. You should be willing to undertake specific risk management training if/when required.
