A major multinational engineering business with an exceptionally strong reputation and diverse operations in heavy industry across the globe are seeking a senior legal counsel to join their in-house team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities of your new role
Working alongside the General Counsel, your responsibilities as legal counsel will include:
- Liaising closely with the most senior board members;
- Offering strategic legal advice to support the various businesses in achieving their corporate objectives;
- Advising on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, heavy weight commercial deals and restructuring projects;
- Drafting and negotiation high value, long term, complex commercial contracts, from large scale standard terms and conditions, to technology partnership agreements and project finance arrangements; and
- Advising on general legal and compliance matters.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
To be considered for this legal counsel role you will need to demonstrate:
- A full qualification and 4-6 years of PQE.
- Heavyweight commercial, corporate, projects or finance background;
- Comfortable in a fast changing and challenging environment; and
- Exceptional communication skills.
Salary and benefits
There is a generous remuneration package on offer to the successful legal counsel, which includes £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, exceptional pension and holiday entitlements. There is also considerable flexibility and a 'grown up' attitude to working practices.
