VP LEGAL COUNSEL - CORPORATE INSURANCE (C.5-10 PQE)

This is a superb opportunity for a corporate insurance specialist (circa 5-10 years' PQE) to take up a VP level, Legal Counsel, role in an interesting listed company.

The business is particularly involved in the acquisition and management of insurers and re-insurers as well as portfolios of insurers in run-off. The business is now looking to hire, at Vice President level, a corporate insurance specialist, who has developed a big chunk, if not all, of their career in a leading private practice. In particular, the role will involve providing legal support to the M&A team, advising on international insurance M&A deals. In order to fulfil this role, sound experience and knowledge of the Lloyd's market and RITC deals will be necessary.

The role, which will sit within the small London in-house legal team, will offer great responsibility and autonomy and is an important role within the business generally. Accordingly, it is anticipated that a minimum of 5-7 years' PQE, mostly gained within a leading private practice, will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role.  The role would suit a private practice senior associate who is looking to make their first in-house move and such candidates are firmly encouraged to apply.

On offer is a great remuneration package, which includes a base salary that surpasses that found in most UK law firms at an equivalent level. A great bonus and pension scheme will take this package over £200k. A share scheme and other more typical medical/dental/travel benefits are also included.
