Interim Head of Management Accounts

An extremely successful firm based in North Leeds currently seeks an exceptional candidate for an Interim Head of Management Accounts position for an initial 12 months. The role is to cover the current post holder who is being seconded onto a project and could lead to a permanent opportunity.

Key tasks for this role will be:
*Management of a team of 5 qualified and part qualified management accountants
*To look at the production and review of Management accounts by day 4 for 4 business units including support functions.
*To review monthly P&L and Balance Sheet/Cash forecasting
*Conduct contract and profitability reviews
*Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations/controls and review the posting of payroll.
*Production of audit and tax schedules and deal with audit/tax queries
*Support the operational and commercial teams, dealing with ad-hoc business requests and continually looking at process improvement opportunities.

Experience:
*Ideally ACMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
*At least 3 years' experience working in a busy management accounts team
*Good team management experience
*Change management experience (processes and systems)
*Good Excel and accounting system knowledge
*Good communication skills
*Able to challenge and operate at all levels
*Flexible and pragmatic
