The Associate Director , Commercial Insights ' function is to lead, conduct and oversee Market Research & Analytics initiatives across I&I Franchise products. The role will collaborate across Marketing, Commercial Analytics, and Forecasting to provide key insights, strategic recommendations, and drive business results. The role will have responsibility across a broad variety of projects and as needed lead cross functional efforts. For launch situations, this role will lead U.S. market research projects and act as the U.S. Market Research point person for the Global team.

The individual in this role must have strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage a wide-breadth of projects ranging from qualitative & quantitative research, primary & secondary analytics, HCP & Patient perspectives. Prior experience conducting Demand and forecasting studies and experience building forecast assumptions and scenarios is desired. They must be able to effectively conduct and coordinate large scale projects, manage critical timelines, budget, and ensure quality deliverables. The ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and positively impact business decisions is an important success factor. The individual must be adept at communicating complex information, translate research results into clear, concise, and compelling implications for the team. Present as needed to various levels within the organization.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Execute Market Research projects, provide interpretation of findings and their implications to US I&I Franchise
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other stakeholders to define business information needs
  • Solutions oriented - Proactively identify information gaps and recommend innovative projects to answer the same.
  • Integrate insights across the various Market Research and analytics projects to develop a multidimensional perspective and provide richer understanding of business dynamics
  • Manage the AE compliance process to ensure all projects are in full compliance with Adverse Event tracking and reporting processes
  • Write descriptive RFPs, identify and select the optimal external business partners to execute projects. Manage these effectively to ensure timely delivery of projects with efficient budget.
  • Ensure secondary data and tracking studies are fully leveraged to answer strategic questions
  • Work with the Senior Director, Commercial Insights to enhance the I&I Insights capability. Proactively identify new and innovative research approaches - and utilize appropriately for business issues
  • Build Agency of Record (AOR) relationships with select agencies and enhance value delivered to the Business.
  • Manage the output of Market Research vendors
  • Effectively manage both HCP and Patient research projects.
Skills/Knowledge Required :
  • Bachelor's degree / MBA preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Market Research with extensive experience in the US market
  • Secondary data Analytics and Forecasting experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in rapidly changing environments.
  • High energy, driven, creative personality with strong project management skills
  • PC literate including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Tableau highly desired.
  • Experience in data analysis techniques - SPSS, SAS preferred
  • Ability to organize/analyze multiple data sources and events into a cohesive result through the utilization of various analytical tools and technologies
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels
  • Strong sense of teamwork
  • Demonstrate integrity, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
  • Travel as required 15-20% domestic
