Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will drive the financial planning by analysing the performance and strategic plans of the company.

They will also be responsible for up to date awareness of the company's financial position and acting to prevent problems.

They will also manage the company's finance IT system and highlight any changes or investments needed to allow the efficient and effective operation of the Finance team.

You will be responsible for:

• Forecasting and budgeting.
• Cash flow management.
• Reporting including the preparation of management accounts and annual accounts for the group and its various locations.
• Introducing and developing the new accounting software in concert with the new MRP system
• Monthly reporting and VAT returns - Invoice processing, supplier payments scheduling.
• Payroll - bringing existing outsourced payroll back in house.
• Optimising bank charges and payment fees (including Forex).
• Highlighting potential improvements with supplier terms - payment days, margin etc (liaising with procurement).
• Managing an effective and efficient day-to-day operation.
• Managing team - attendance, punctuality, morale, performance management (supported by HR function).
• Helping develop and managing day to day workload of KPIs throughout the group.

The Candidate for Financial Controller

• ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified and on an upward career path.
• A hands-on, can-do attitude - A friendly and positive personality - Demonstrable experience as a manager.
• A clear communicator.
• The ability to work effectively in a very fast changing environment.
• The client is well financed and has exciting plans.
• This is a brilliant opportunity for someone making a 2^nd or 3^rd move after qualifying with realistic aspirations to be an FD in the short to medium term.
