Senior Legal Counsel - South West

Based near a beautiful city in the South West and commutable from Bristol and Thames Valley locations, our client has grown from a small UK company into a booming, highly successful technology business. It has operations spanning the globe and is a leading, well recognised brand.

The business prides itself in operating in more than 70 countries worldwide and having a global legal team. It is currently experiencing fantastic growth and the business has extensive plans afoot to develop their success over the coming years.

In this role, you will have wide encompassing responsibilities but an emphasis on commercial and technology law. You will enjoy managing a junior Lawyer, supporting their development and performance. You will engage with the wider Legal team and business to devise strategies on growing the business and provide ongoing advice on commercial, contractual and legal matters, particularly across their IT and Finance functions. You will draft and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers, support tender processes, advise on best practice, manage disputes and conduct legal training.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • UK qualified Solicitor with at least 5 - 10* PQE
  • Ideally In-House experience  
  • Commercial contracts, IT, IP related legal experience
  • Cross-border exposure
  • Some experience in supervising a junior Lawyer /Paralegal preferred
  • Confident, adept to change, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
