Finance Business Partner
This position is for a mid sized business with around £120m and are a Premium Listed Business on the London Stock Exchange. The benefit of this is that you still have a lot of variety and scope in your role but also have exposure to complexities associated with being a listed business.
In this role you will have responsibility for analysing the performance of business units on a monthly basis and presenting the results and variances to the MDs of those business units. Along with this you will work on ad hoc projects with the CFO and Deputy CFO to assist with the implementation of new projects and other work around accounting for acquisitions and disposals.
The company is a Business to Business Service provider and works across a number of sectors.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the business unit MDs and the Executive Committee to set annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Lead a team to ensure accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts, review these accounts with the relevant MDs / Department Heads
- Financial modelling around business cases, Group projects and cost allocations
- Lead monthly board meetings with the CFO, CEO and Executive committee
- Ad hoc financial analysis for the CFO and Deputy CFO, for example, mapping out potential scenarios regarding the roll out of the Group's new management system
- Business partnering support for the Group's acquisitions and disposals
Skills and Qualities required
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Demonstratable experience partnering with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Confident, capable and credible with effective communication, influencing and persuasiveness skills
- Skills to work in an international, fast paced and dynamic organisation
- Excellent presentation and organisation skills
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads accordingly
- Not essential but experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous: Project accounting; Working in a listed entity's finance function; SUN accounting system; Working at a B2B company
