CFO

This PE backed, market-leading IT and business services group is about to embark on a highly ambitious ‘buy-and-build' strategy that will radically develop and diversify its customer service offering.

Clearly, this will significantly increase its capital value and it is expected that there would be an exit event in 2021 that will provide a healthy return for investors and management alike.

Key to its implementation is the appointment of a highly energetic and commercially gifted CFO and to be appropriate for the role, you will possess the following background and attributes:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA).
• You will be a main board member of an owner-managed or PE backed concern.
• Your sector background should be from the ‘tech' and / or business services sector.
• You will possess an understanding of contract-led sales processes and ideally some exposure to providing services to the public sector, although an individual whose experience is confined to the B2C sector may also be considered.
• It is essential that you have experience of M&A, ideally international, as one of your key responsibilities will be the selection, completion and integration of complementary target businesses. Ultimately, the role will become a Group CFO role.
• You will lead a team that will include a Finance Controller but you will be expected to be detail oriented and work closely with your direct reports in the development of the MIS, in the formative months.
• You will have a keen focus on cost control and have demonstrable experience of operating in an effective manner where efficiencies were created and with beneficial effects on profitability and cash flow.
