Our client is an award-winning technology company which includes amongst their customers some of the largest blue-chip organisations across the globe.

Experiencing remarkable growth since its inception, bringing legal expertise in-house is a critical response to the challenges of moving to the next stage of their development. This is a newly created role, providing an opportunity for a commercially minded, technically excellent lawyer with the desire to work within a challenging but progressive environment.

Reporting directly to the CFO, but working closely with the Sales and Professional Services teams, the successful candidate will be the sole in-house legal resource (but with continuing access to external counsel when support is required), charged with reviewing and negotiating contract terms with numerous clients as the business continues to expand rapidly.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: owning the client contract templates and standards for each subsidiary globally, ensuring compliance with contracting requirements; working closely with sales teams, negotiating and drafting suitable amendments to standard contracts, and ensuring the company's commercial exposure is managed; liaising with external legal partners across the world; and providing and coordinating other legal advice as required, including in respect to IPR, Employment, Property, Data Protection and Corporate law.

More information will be made available upon request by suitable candidates.

The successful candidate will have c.4yrs+ PQE*, preferably having trained at a well-established firm or have some in-house experience in a similar environment. Commercial drafting experience is required, with preference shown to those candidates who can demonstrate experience with technology agreements (ideal, but not essential). Equally importantly, you must have the confidence to work in a hugely visible role where you'll be trusted by some of the company's most senior executives to provide commercially sound advice on a daily basis.

*NB: PQE levels are offered as a guide only. Our clients will accept applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.

Interested candidates should send their CV to Nick Wasserman for consideration. All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 working days of application. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, though, we are not always able to respond directly to everyone, but we will try our very best.
