Construction Lawyer

A top silver circle firm is seeking a non-contentious Construction Lawyer to sit within the Real Estate team, for a period of 3-6 months initially and to start immediately. The ideal candidate will be familiar with large development and construction projects for real estate, manufacturing, aviation and transport sector clients. The real estate team provides advice and assistance across many areas of construction, so applicants must be able to: advise on contracts for both UK and international construction, engineering and development projects; play an active role in drafting and negotiating multimillion pound deals regarding development and construction sites under the JCT Design and Build Contract 2005; and draft building contracts, collateral warranties and other development agreements.

The role may also involve joint venture projects across a range of sectors - as well as NEC 3 option A forms of contract and EFA amendments, together with dealing with FIDIC contracts - so experience in these areas is beneficial.
