Management Accountant - Pension Funds | Competitive salary plus bonus and benefits

Our client, the Trustee office of a British multinational FTSE 100 group, require a Pension Funds Management Accountant to join their team in London. 

The Role and Responsibilities

As the Pension Fund Management Accountant, you will manage the cost control framework of the defined benefit pension scheme as well as the corporate accounting for the Trustee entity. Other duties of the management accountant include:

• Prepare and present scheme and committee budgets and forecasts.
• Develop the management reporting and KPI reporting.
• Regularly meet to review service against agreed SLAs with appointed service providers.
• Act as primary liaison point with HSBC Fund Accounting.
• Work with the external auditor and Corporate Accountants to assist with the timely sign off the scheme's report and financial statements.
• Prepare financial data for the scheme's Actuary on a bi-annual basis.
• Oversee the Corporate Tax returns including self- assessment, PSA and P11ds.

The Candidate

The business seeks a qualified management accountant with at least 1-2 years of PQE who can demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

• Experience of pension fund accounting (SORP) gained either in practice or financial services. 
• Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
