Group Financial Controller

Global Accounting Network are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Controller position for a private investment vehicle specialising in investing into the creative sectors, as well as hospitality, food, beverage and events.

Reporting directly into the CFO, this position will be managing the day to day running of the finance function including month end, as well as the annual accounts preparation, and managing a Management Accountant, with a view of growing the team as the business continues to grow through its aggressive acquisition plans.

Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Full ownership of the balance sheet and P&L
• Group consolidation of around 35 entities
• Reviewing and, where required, assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Reviewing and developing financial controls across the company
• Management of a small London based team, as well as 9 others based internationally
• Ensuring best practice is followed by portfolio businesses across the group
• Ad hoc project work

The ideal candidate for the position will have:

• ACA qualification is preferred
• Experience of working within a group finance function
• Experience of reporting in US GAAP
• Team management experience
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with international offices
• The ability to both operate at a high, strategic level, as well as being hands on
