An opportunity has arisen for a senior legal counsel with excellent technical skill and commercial experience to join a global manufacturing business in Cheshire.

The Role

Working as part of a small and commercially minded in-house team the senior legal counsel role will be predominantly commercial in nature with elements of IP and data protection. Responsibilities of the senior in-house lawyer include:

• Working closely with commercial teams across the business on multi-jurisdictional contracts
• Drafting and negotiating large value commercial agreements
• Advising on Intellectual Property matters
• Assisting with the continued implementation of data protection and GDPR

The Candidate

The business requires a senior lawyer who can work autonomously with senior members of the business. Skills and experience of the senior legal counsel include:

• At least 5 years of PQE and experience working in a commercial team (practice or in-house)
• You should be confident technically but also commercially minded and a good communicator

Benefits

The senior lawyer will enjoy autonomous working and interesting, international deals to work on. The successful applicant will be offered a salary of £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
