Finance Director

Our client is a well-established real estate investment management business and are looking to hire a new Finance Director for the business. The Finance Director will be responsible for many aspects of the running of the organisation, including financial management, bank relationships, risk and governance as well as overseeing a team consisting of a financial controller and six accountants. However, the focus of the role will also be strategic. The Finance Director will work as part of a senior leadership team and take responsibility for other areas of the business rather than just being purely focused on financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involvement in funding (equity and debt) and potentially creating new investment vehicles;
• Providing analytical review of monthly financial and business performance
• Coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and consolidation
• Coordinating the preparation of the periodic financial forecasts
• Responsibility for the review of monthly cash-flow projections. Prepare and submit cash-flow projections (rolling forecasts) and working capital/liquidity requirements;
• Working with external consultants; including auditors to coordinate the annual audit and statutory reporting,
• Overall responsibility for the management of the portfolio's debt and bank relationships;
• Reviewing and putting in place necessary policies and procedure for good governance and compliance to regulatory and accounting standards;
• Overall responsibility for taxation matters, including tax planning and compliance;
• Overall responsibility for the risk management framework, management and reporting;
• Developing and implementing appropriate ownership and co-investment structures alongside equity partners;

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record in finance along with excellent strategic and analytical skills.   A good degree in Finance or Business Administration / professional Accounting qualification is beneficial as well as experience within one or more of a real estate, business service environment and/or background in debt finance.
