Our client is recruiting on behalf of a Manchester-based legal firm with deep expertise in the insurance industry and commerce overall. 
 
To assist in their continued development and growth they are looking to appoint an experienced lawyer at Partner level to support the property damage and recovery team in Manchester.
 
This highly reputable law firm are looking to create a ‘centre of excellence' for the property damage and recovery business stream in its Manchester office, providing the necessary investment and support to make this a success. The Role
 
As a Partner, you will form a key part of succession planning activities within the Property Damage and Recovery Team, working closely with insurance companies, brokers, MGAs and corporates to manage property damage and recovery claims. 

Specifically, you will handle a portfolio of cases and generate fee income while managing the team who are vital contributors to departmental success. 

This high calibre role will involve: 

- Managing complex cases to the satisfaction of the client 
- Directing multi-disciplinary teams of experts 
- Generating income through fees and monitoring expenditure 
- Managing all resources and coaching and supporting employees 
- Seeking new business opportunities through existing and new clients 
- Taking charge of your own self-development, professional qualifications and personal continuous improvement 

About You 

This role could be filled by an existing Partner, or Senior Associate looking for that next step.
 
To be considered as a Partner, you will need: 

- The relevant post qualification experience
- Technical expertise around recoveries, commercial and insurance coverage
- Consistent fee earning capability 
- A background in case handling for property damage and recovery, dispute resolution, and management of high value complex cases ranging from £50k-£500k 
- Client management experience 
- Team leadership experience 
- An understanding of working with insurers, brokers, MGSs and corporates
