Financial Controller Job in Liverpool. Working for a large charity. Salary £60000 to £65000

Your new role
As the Financial Controller you will lead a finance team through transition and introduce new and improved processes and financial reporting to modernise the function.
Responsible for External reporting, treasury and cashflow, VAT and taxation and leadership of the finance function.

This role involves complex accounting and consolidation of multisite operations. Some UK travel is required during the first 6 months of your tenure.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a qualified accountant who has previous experience of leading a finance team - probably at the Financial Controller level. You'll have hands on experience of producing statutory accounts and ideally have worked with consolidating numerous entities.

You'll have a wish to lead and develop a finance team, shaping that team into a function that provides a high quality service to the charity and raising your profile within the organisation.

You'll have the ambition to become a Finance Director in the future and will be ready to take on additional responsibilities as your role expands.

You'll have the standards required to work with and represent a well respected and high profile organisation.
