Commercial IT Lawyer (Cloud Tech)

A leading cloud tech business based in Munich seeks an experienced commercial lawyer with knowledge of EU public procurement. You will report to the EMEA Head of Legal in a role which is intellectually stimulating, offering an exciting and fast-paced quality of work. You will work as part of a legal team which supports the EU business unit. As Corporate Counsel, you will focus on a broad range of drafting technology contracts and subcontracts with public and private sector customers. You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including IT, IP and some element of regulatory compliance.

Candidates
Candidates must be German Qualified with a minimum of 7 pts in each bar exam and first-class IT/IP legal experience with the ability to work autonomously on complex commercial contracts and license agreements. You must have a minimum of 4 years PQE from a leading international law firm or in-house department of a world-renowned Tech business. The ideal candidate will have solid experience of IT/IP transactions with the ability to manage multiple projects. You will work closely with a number of highly valued clients and candidates must have a good personality with the ability to communicate pragmatically. Candidates must have a love for technology and have excellent presentation and organizational skills. Strong drafting and negotiation English skills is essential with a native fluency in German another European language (ideally French) is desirable. The position is permanently based in Munich but some international travel may be required.
