Our client is a well-regarded association which offers consultative advice to the Healthcare industry. As a result of continued growth in new business clients, they now wish to recruit a UK qualified commercial lawyer to join their legal team. You will manage a subgroup of the business and report to the Legal Director where you will focus on commercial contracts and offer pragmatic legal advice.


The Role
You will be required to have broad commercial law experience in order to advise members on commercial contracts and recent changes in legislations. You will work on various types of commercial agreements, including joint ventures, procurement, setting up Ltd Companies, LLPs and Partnerships. Part of your role will involve IP/IT and Competition Law, however experience in this specialism isn't essential. You will need excellent communication skills as you will be required to meet with key clients and present seminars etc. As part of your role you will draft and negotiate various commercial contracts, including bidding and tendering and assist in the negotiation and advice on larger medical contracts (including the NHS Standard Contract 2013/14 and the Public Health Services Contract 2013/14. T


The Candidate
MUST be UK trained and qualified with at least 3 years' legal experience gained from a commercial team of a well-regarded law firm or an in-house commercial team. Candidates must have a solid career track record with minimal job moves. Must be a confident lawyer with excellent face to face communication skills to deal with client presentations and seminars. The ideal candidate will have experience of working for Public Bodies and/or education/health sectors, however it's not essential.
