LEGAL COUNSEL, MAJOR CORPORATE, DUBAI

CLIENT: We work closely with this particular client, who handle some of the best and most diverse legal work in the Middle East. They are in need of expanding their current legal team and wish to hire a junior to mid-level lawyer.

ROLE: The position will sit in a small group and the flow of work and level of responsibility will be strong. You will report directly to the General Counsel and work under other seniors, handling large scale corporate and finance transactional work, re-structuring, capital markets, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance, as well as a breadth of general commercial and assorted matters. Deal flow (both regional and international) will be regular and keep you interested at all times. The nature and size of the transactions will likely be comparable or equal to any law firm work you will find in the region.

CANDIDATE: It is essential that you are a common law qualified lawyer who has trained with, or comes from a very strong international standard law firm, although you may have since moved in-house. You must be based in the Middle East right now (with a strong preference for Dubai) and an ideal PQE will be 3-6 years'. The nature of your background has some flexibility, either a strong corporate lawyer who can blend into some finance work, or an excellent finance lawyer comfortable with, or with a willingness to combine into corporate (amongst other areas). The latter will be preferred.

Any strong transactional lawyers with excellent training and education, tired of a law firm and seeking a new alternative in-house, should be interested in this role.
