Interim Finance Director

A private owner and operator of five care homes  for the elderly with Head Office based in Uxbridge is seeking an Interim Finance Director for an initial twelve month contract to take over from the current Finance Director who is due to leave. The organisation, with revenues of £7m, intends to continue with its staggered process of disposing of care homes at the appropriate time.

Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a Head Office team, initially comprising two direct reports
• Hands-on production of management accounts and cash flow projections with relevant and accurate KPI analysis
• Preparation of financial reports along with budgets, forecasts and plans
• Managing the “sale process” of individual homes when acceptable offers are received, including CPSE1 Replies, due diligence responses and sale and purchase contract negotiations
• Providing commercial support to the CEO and senior management team on HR, Health and Safety, contract and capital expenditure matters.
• Financial controls at the homes
• Ad-hoc projects as required

  Key Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• A 'hands on' senior finance background
• Significant experience of working within SME's
• ‘Care home and Property Sector' experience
• Some UK travel to the care homes required
• A commercial approach in supporting the CEO

  Package:

• Salary £80,000
• 5% Pension Contribution
