Interim Senior Operational Accountant

Accountable Recruitment are working with a leading multi site logistics business who are seeking an Interim Senior Operations Accountant to join the team at head office . Working alongside the Finance Director - Operations, you will control and improve the profitability of their business area and liaise closely with other Business Units.

As Senior Operations Accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Business Partnering the BU Director
• Developing a team of Operational Accountants
• Detailed understanding of business performance drivers and the impact of KPIs to improve efficiency and service
• Forecasting (short and long term) and understanding variances and necessary actions
• Review and approve tender and rate card proposals
• Review all working practices with the Business Units to make recommendations for improvements
• Review divisional weekly performance data
• Review weekly and monthly P+Ls to ensure all costs/revenue are flowing correctly
• Annual budget and quarterly forecasts in conjunction with BU Director
• Identification and communication of risks and opportunities
• Preparation of monthly divisional financial commentary

Essential Experience:

• Logistics industry
• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Previous experience of managing a team
• Multi site operational exposure

Desirable Experience:

• Forecasting and sensitivity analysis
• Experience of working closely with non finance managers
