Our client is a prestigious bank looking for a Senior Internal Audit Manager (payments and operations) based in Birmingham. This is a highly sought after position with a leading financial services organisation offering huge development opportunities as well as further opportunities to work across the bank (including Investment bank, private bank).
As a senior manager you will be involved in leading the delivery of major/ or highly complex audits. You will be part of the team responsible for driving the coordination and collaboration of a consistent delivery audit work across Global Businesses and Global Functions. This will include providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders by utilisation of the knowledge of the business and the governance risk and regulatory frameworks. By managing both internal and external stakeholders you will ensure a common approach and understand key deliverables. The role works across two major spaces in the bank, and is a key part of the group payment system using such systems such as Swift and Ficrosoft as well as others.
The role is based in Birmingham but will involve travel to London and Sheffield and possibly internationally (not frequent).
There are massive development opportunities for a senior professional, whether that's taking advantage of internal audit programmes, gaining job coaching or a further formal qualification there is huge potential along with networking events as part of the wider team.
Suitable candidates will have knowledge of banking products and services knowledge along with a relevant qualification (essential) i ACA, CISA, CAMS, ICA - AML, CIA and CFE. You will have experience working in the relevant environment (payments, technology, financial crime, audit) and the experience working in the market/ context i banking operations and payment across main banking lines. Experience such as using relevant software packages i SWIFT, FICROSOFT would be advantageous.
