Job Description

Responsible for planning, directing and providing the leadership to achieve short and long term financial objectives of the Club and Resort Operations functional areas. Responsible for leading the Resort Operations Business Management and Revenue Management teams in all markets HGV operates. Acts as the single point of contact and business partner to the Chief Customer Officer (CCO). This position drives all financial support for financial and operational analysis, budgeting, planning, forecasting and corporate reporting. The VP Business Operations - Club and Resorts also provides ongoing business analysis to determine opportunities for efficiencies and profitability improvement.
Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Resort Operations business support teams throughout each property ensuring internal controls and fully aligned with the company's policies and standards
  • Institute policies and procedures that ensure revenue targets can be met and exceeded while working in coordination with internal departments (Direct Marketing, Rental Marketing, Inventory Management) and external Fee for Service developers
  • Provide support to the SVP, Associations and Brand Operations to complete HOA annual budget process and annual Board meetings
  • Responsible for consolidation of financial and operational reporting for of all lines of business that report up through the CCO including Resort Operations, Resort/Property Management, Brand Operations, Rental, Retail, Club and Resales.
  • Lead regular financial reviews, quarterly business reviews, and forecast review meetings with key stakeholders throughout the Club and Resort Operations areas
  • Provide monthly report out to the CFO and SVP, Finance regarding forecast trends, future outlook and prior period results to assist with earnings call and earnings release as well as Board of Directors meetings
  • Oversee Revenue Management function and ensures inventory optimization plan is continually reviewed, updated and executed upon while providing continuous access and transparency to these performance metrics across key stakeholders
  • Work hand in hand with the VP, Inventory Management to maximize utilization and to forecast future trends
  • Assist the Development Finance team with new project hotel pro forma analysis and estimated operating budgets
  • Partner with the Vice President, Business Operations - Sales and Marketing on forecasting and planning for sales and marketing trends to track and maximize the flow through from the Real Estate segment to the Club and Resort Operations segment
  • Act as a liaison for the Club and Resort Operations segment to senior leaders throughout the finance team including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax and Strategic Planning
  • Closely monitor the impacts of Subsidy, Developer Maintenance Fees, Rental and Marketing room nights
  • Support the CCO in developing and executing on new product initiatives, resort opening, technology projects and any innovation and optimization goals
  • Define strategy and vision for the department through design of individual and team goals and projects
  • Provide training, motivation, and development of team members to foster optimal performance
Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in Business Development, Business Support, Financial Planning & Analysis or Revenue Management.
  • 6+ years of experience in a director level role
  • Professional experience working within the Vacation Ownership industry
  • Ability to travel as needed
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • MBA Degree
  • Timeshare experience within revenue management, inventory management or club management
