This is a fantastic opportunity for a project accountant who is a strong business partner, to join a leading blue-chip organisation and assist in the implementation of a new Revenue Accounting System.
Key Responsibilities:-
- ensuring the financial accuracy of the data migration from the old to the new system
- producing quality analysis of the reconciliation between the two systems
- review the existing and future reporting requirements for the BAU team
- accountable for dual running analysis to allow transfer from project to BAU team, full documentation of all accounting entries and to-be processes, assist in the production of test script, UAT of the new system against the current system with ERES data
- tracking and recording of Revenue Accounting process changes, review/assist in production of training material to allow transition from project to BAU
- establishing strong collaborative relationships between teams and liaising with technical teams on offering advice on accounting treatment of revenue related items
- understanding impact of IFRS15 to the business
The successful candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience. You should also have:-
- previous project accounting or similar experience
- experience in programme environment and programme accounting is desirable
- ability to analyse summary data and be able to pinpoint current issues or potential issues
- ability to confidently explain complicated financial matters to both finance and non finance
- intermediate to advanced MS Office Skills - including extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- experience of computerised accounting packages, ideally Agresso and Cognos TM1
- ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders
- strong commercial understanding
- outstanding business partnering experience with ability to liaise with both financial and non-financial professionals
