Adjacency is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a leading organisation who have a proud legacy dating back over 100 years.  This newly created role has come about as a result of growing commercial involvement and investment into business partnering.  Based near Stratford-upon-Avon our client achieves the rare mix of challenging work and good work life balance, the role comes with a salary of £60,000 to £65,000, 25% bonus, up to 12% pension and a range of other benefits.

In this role you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, business insight, planning and decision support.  You will identify opportunities for improvement, working with senior management to enhance and support decision making and review and analyse performance against strategic and tactical objectives.  Our client is proud of the commercial input and insight provided by the Business Partnering Team, a team which continues to grow in stature and recognition throughout the organisation; business partnering a success story of recent years.

Key accountabilities of this role include;

  • Business case and investment appraisal review to ensure Finance are providing the best support possible to the Senior Executive Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Establish an operational and management information process for all functions that provides performance measures and results for monitoring productivity, efficiency and expenditure control.
  • Ensure all commercial activities meet or improve on budget and cost inline with short and long term plans.
  • Financial modelling and reporting in order to provide accurate and insightful management information, decision support and financial control.
  • Drive a progressive and positive culture between finance and all heads of department and budget holders continuing to build the already successful high profile business partnering. 

Experience to date will include;

  • Business Partnering, managing financial information and planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills including modelling, analysis, forecasting and project evaluations.
  • Turning numbers into stories - experience of presenting complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders in writing and face to face.
  • Advanced systems skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint, Business Objects, ERP Systems and Corporate Planner. 
  • Used to working on/around projects, change, and transformation.

Qualifications and personal attributes;

  • Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA (will consider another financial qualification if relevant experience e.g. MBA or actuary)
  • Proactive self-starter who can work on their own to deliver results whilst being equally comfortable within a team.
  • Able to set direction and drive results by the successful execution of strategy whilst maintaining customer focus and demonstrating a positive energy and attitude at all times.
