Role overview for Director of Financial Control & Reporting
The Director of Financial Control and Reporting will be responsible for driving excellence in all internal and external plc reporting across the Group. This individual will make a key contribution to the transformation of the finance function across Europe, driving process and control improvements to deliver a robust and scalable platform to support the Group's ambitious growth agenda.
Key responsibilities will include for Director of Financial Control & Reporting :
- Leading the delivery of all internal and external reporting for the Group, including the Group's annual report, IMS, Interims and Preliminary statements
- Ensuring the integrity and consistency of all financial information across the group
- Navigating key technical areas and complex accounting issues as an internal subject matter expert
- Managing the audit process and the relationship with external auditors and other advisors
- Developing the Group's control environment, including driving harmonisation across geographies
- Building the business cases for delivering investment in systems and automation where appropriate
- Engaging the team on a journey of continuous improvement and streamlining of financial operations
- Leading and developing a high performance team culture
Key requirements for the role are Director of Financial Control & Reporting :
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA with significant post qualification experience and minimum 5 years in a financial leadership role
- Experience in an agile, ambitious and fast paced businesses, ideally with experience in a listed plc environment
- Financial services experience would be a distinct advantage, or alternatively experience in a complex, international business
- Track record of successfully developing people, systems and driving process improvement Characteristics of the successful candidate:
