Description

• Providing proactive legal advice to the senior management;
• Negotiating and drafting distribution agreements;
• Negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements, including agency, introducer appointed representative, outsourcing, intellectual property, software, IT, and marketing agreements;
• Instructing external legal advisers;
• Working closely with compliance to provide advice on regulatory issues, changes and governance;
• Engaging with the business at the early stage of a deal to provide advice and assist with the design and structure of deals;
• Drafting and reviewing customer policy terms and conditions and product documentation, promotional documentation and marketing materials;
• Undertaking legal research as required;
• Assisting with defending litigation, third party claims or escalated complaints.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a commercial lawyer with around 3 PQE* You will need to be comfortable drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements and advising the business on key projects.

Prior insurance sector experience OR exposure to insurance contracts would be desirable but it not essential. A positive, can do attitude and desire to work as part of a close knit legal team are key.
