Finance Business Partner /Project Accountant Role for a Listed Engineering Organisation in South Manchester

My client are a large and listed multi-national engineering organisation based in the south Manchester area. They are at the cutting edge of their industry and have a brilliant reputation to work for.

Your new role

• Business partnering with Project Managers analysing the incurred and forecast costs and identifying variance to budget.
• Completion of key financial information on Projects.
• Preparation of Multi-Year Budget information.
• Working closely with the Project team during Contract Reviews, ensuring integrity of cost incurred and forecast estimates at completion using Project Dashboards.
• Analyse variances associated with performance & scope changes and reporting areas of risk.
• Provide accurate and timely Sales, Margin, Order Intake and Cash forecasts.
• Providing finance support to the contract review process.
• Periodical overhead reviews with local cost centre managers.
• Ad-hoc financial analysis.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will ideally have experience in the engineering industry, although project accounting experience is more important. You will need brilliant communication skills.
