Business Development Executive - Venture Capital

Our client is a national investment house focused on the identification, funding and scaling of high growth innovative technology businesses in the UK. Due to continued growth within their investments and a new Venture Capital fund opening they are looking to expand their team with a Business Development Executive into their offices near to Solihull.
The ideal Business Development Executive will be an individual with corporate finance, fundraising and/or investor relations experience, with particular emphasis ideally on the early stage technology market.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:
• Working with the research analysts, investment teams and investor relations colleagues to build relationships with potential syndicate investors.
• Identifying key future investment partners for portfolio businesses and building strong ongoing relationships.
• Liaising with investment partners, investment colleagues and legal colleagues on fundraising activities.
• Ensuring that investors are all aware of portfolio and potential new investment opportunities.
• Assisting colleagues to ensure portfolio companies are investment ready.
• Assisting Investment Relations colleagues with cross fund opportunities.
As well as the required Corporate Finance/Advisory exposure the successful Business Development Executive will also have the ability to develop knowledge of working with high growth businesses seeking investment; have an entrepreneurial flair to generate syndication fees; be able to develop a network of relevant investor contacts; stakeholder relationships and build trust quickly.
