Associate Director of Business Analytics
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Data and Business Analytics, the Associate Director of Business Analytics is a key leader and vital consultant regarding project strategy and analytics for the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM).
This position is responsible for leading vital school wide projects for the DGSOM's business operations and financial administration with an impact across all departments. This includes project strategy, resource planning, coordination, and execution of projects and analytics. Provides consultation to and works directly with the DGSOM's most senior leadership through development of strategy and analytics regarding implementation of special projects. S/he will work with a variety of groups and stakeholders both internal and external to the School of Medicine. Participates in and leads key constituent meetings to ensure appropriate and responsive follow-up and accountability. Addresses and communicates sensitive situations and information, both verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels.
Sets project priorities and expectations on deliverables for teams. Review, analyze, and evaluate complex business systems and assess user needs. Demonstrated ability to translate decisions into effective and actionable steps. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technology-driven solutions to business issues.
Resource between departments and EDBA unit to ensure needs are understood and addressed for both projects and
analytics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience.
Ability to read and write SQL code.
PMP certified.
Experience with, and ability to trouble shoot software tools, including Jasper Soft, Qlikview, Tableau, or SSRS reporting.
Experience working with many stakeholders to derive workflows and timelines.
Experience with technology and system implementations.
Experience implementing and managing role based security to control user access to systems.
Experience in compliance, quality, research, and finance in a health system and/or academic medical schools.
Certifications in Lean, and/or agile methodologies (preferred).
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop OS.
