My client is a growing US firm with an already successful London office. As a result of continued growth across all areas a role has arisen for a Professional Responsibility (risk & compliance) solicitor to join the team in London.  

The role:

• assisting locally in the London office advising partners, legal and office staff on legal and risk matters affecting the firm, including regulatory compliance, client on-boarding, procurement and investigations.
• the production and maintenance of policies in key areas.
• providing clear and commercial advice as new regulations or areas come into force.
• the implementation of internal risk processes.
• the provision of relevant training.
• Experience in advising on regulatory matters is required - particularly on Anti Money Laundering and associated legislation.
• Managing a team of Risk Analysts and acting as an escalation point and be responsible for their outputs and development.
• Ensure risk and related issues are dealt with in London.
• Reporting into the Global Director of Risk, Professional Responsibility and leading the London office requirements in their absence.
• This role will suit a qualified lawyer with approximately 10 years in a highly regarded global commercial law firm, from private practice and an internal Risk & Compliance function.
