Are you an experienced private client solicitor looking for a challenge? Do you want to be the leading figure in the development of a new department?
A top-200 firm based in Leicestershire is starting to expand its offering and is looking for a talented and ambitious individual to help set up the private client department. The firm already has an incredibly strong commercial side, delivering a wide range of services to a range of businesses, and is looking to build on this success by also offering services to individuals. The Firm prides itself on the quality of work it delivers and achieves this by not targeting its staff.
This has, until now, remained an unexplored source of work for the firm, meaning you will be able to tap into this already established client base and started marketing the new private client offering within it. Furthermore, since this is a commercial client base, the work gained will be of a high-quality and could result in some complex and high-value matters.
Business development plays a key part in this role, as you will be setting up the department from scratch. However initially, much of this will be internal as the firm has a wide range of clients that it works with. As it the department starts to take shape, you will also take on managerial responsibilities and will eventually head up a team within the firm, meaning you really do have the chance to become an instrumental figure within the firm.
Since this is to set up a new department, the firm envisages candidates with 8+ years' PQE to have the skills and knowledge necessary for the role. This is given purely as a guideline and more important than exact PQE levels is the ability to handle a private client caseload and the confidence to get involved in business development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to make a name for themselves in the area and become a leading figure both within a department and an already successful firm.
