Care Homes Solicitor

A Care Homes Solicitor or equivalent is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top Law firm based in Bournemouth. Salary at a competitive rate.

My client, a highly regarded full service law firm are looking for a Care Homes Solicitor to join their expanding department. The Care Homes Department handle claims on behalf of individuals, in relation to the repayment of nursing and care home fees. The fees have arisen in cases where despite having a primary health care need, the resident and/or their families, have been refused NHS funding and have been required to pay for the care.

You will have a minimum of 12 months working in a Care Homes Department or similar and be able to successfully manage your own caseload of Care Home matters working within a team environment.

The successful candidate will have:

* A strong background in litigation and/or public law experience
* A working knowledge of care home fee challenges, or similar health/social care experience
* An ability to deal with clients in a sensitive, professional and competent way
* An ability to work on your own initiative within a team environment to achieve results
* Excellent IT skills, which include the ability to work with a case management system, databases and normal office IT systems
* Empathy and good listening skills
* A friendly and co-operative approach to clients

Experience of care work/nursing assistance or medical experience is desirable but not essential.
