Your new role
This role sits within the eight strong transaction risk team, within the company's corporate M&A function of over 40 lawyers overall. You will provide market leading global support to PE funds, corporate entities and professional services firms involved in acquisitive processes. You will use your corporate M&A background in conjunction with knowledge of insurance aspects of such deals, including warranties, indemnities and coverage matters. You will ultimately work with the transaction teams to ensure the right W&I and other insurance coverage is in place to protect the clients with respect to liabilities. To that end, you will be involved in in-depth due diligence of each client and its situation, to understand the risks associated with the deal.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales, with approximately 2-5 years' PQE (as a rough guide only). You will have trained at a reputable City or national law firm having gained excellent academics, and you will have been well trained in corporate, M&A and private equity matters. You will have strong understanding of transactional risk matters within acquisitive transactions, and be able to analyse clients and deals in respect of relevant insurance coverage to protect clients and transactions. You will be able to manage stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, and you will enjoy working with highly respected professionals that are respected in their industry.
