Your new firm is a leading commercial firm with multiple offices who have recently moved their Reading office to acquire more space to grow their head count. After a number of successful years, the firm has decided that now is the right time to expand some of their most successful departments.

Your new role
This position has come about due to the recent office move of the firm and increased demand for development within the Reading Real Estate Team. Responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to clients, increase commercial awareness, promote the reputation and services of the firm, consistently aspire for profitable growth, take responsibility for personal development, support other members of the team, develop new business and participate in marketing activities including networking events, presentations, publishing articles and preparing tenders.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you must be a UK qualified solicitor with a strong academic record and a coherent understanding of commercial property matters. You should have considerable experience working within a commercial property department and have knowledge of leases, management work, sales and purchases freehold and leaseholds, grant and taking of leases, licences and some corporate support work. There is a wide range of clients including small and medium business to large corporates and PLC's, charities and public sector bodies including NHS organisations. The ideal candidate will also have experience and knowledge of residential sales, drafting & analytical skills and be capable of providing both verbal and written advice to clients which is too the point. This position will report into the head of the commercial property team.
