Technical Accountant

£50,000 - £75,000, Cambridge, 5 month FTC, Technical Accountant

Your new company
Your new role as a Technical Accountant will be working for a consultancy firm who have won business with a manufacturing organisation based in Cambridge who require some temporary assistance for 5 months. Work will focus on reconciliations reviews and identifying shortfalls vs policy and following-up with preparers and management to remediate. Below is a profile, it's much more of an accountant profile than consultant.

Your new role

• Experience with Month-End/Quarter End Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience with SAP ERP system (preferred)
• Experience with Runbook Reconciliation Tool (preferred)
• Previous work experience working with an SSC/Outsourced environment
• International Manufacturing experience
• Cost Accounting, GAAP, and IFRS
• Certifications: CPA, CIA, CMA, CA (preferred)
• Exposure with SOX Control knowledge
• 3 years of experience with GL and/or Aud

• Ability to manage and prioritize ongoing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Analytical Skills and attention to detail
• Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
• Self Sufficient and can work independently
• Can read financial policies and understand them
