Retail Finance Manager

Our client, an international market leader committed to its truly innovative, value and quality focused offering, is looking to source a dynamic and career-minded Retail Finance Manager to join its impressive department.

You will be an integral member of the leadership team, partnering with Director level stakeholders and their team to provide insightful analysis of actuals, forecasts and budgets. You'll also be responsible for collaborating with Operations team to deliver improved business performance, whilst leading and developing a team of 2 direct reports.

Main duties include:
* Act as finance lead for designated business area P&L
* Optimise data and systems to develop analytics tools and efficient processes for improving cost controls
* Partner with Directors to gain understanding of business processes and become an integral part of team
* Encourage and steer your Business Partner to make informed decisions using relevant information, taking opportunities to reduce cost base/maximise returns where possible
* Analyse current business practices and identify best option for improvement
* Build a learning culture and ensure strong review process is developed
* Coach and develop your direct reports for promotion opportunities

Skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and a strong academic record
* Advanced analytical and numerical skills
* Ability to work cross functionally and build relationships outside of finance
* Curious and flexible attitude towards work; always keen to delve into detail to outline key drivers of performance, but equally capable of seeing the bigger picture
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
* Enjoys collaborating with others and working cohesively in a team environment
* Previous experience mentoring others and generating a culture of recognition and encouragement
