THE ROLE
This is a new opening for a talented lawyer who is technically strong, personable and ambitious.
They will need to be able to work independently with clients to deliver a pragmatic and hands on service, as well as wishing to be part of a cohesive, collegiate team.
They will be seeking a role as a technical lead lawyer alongside other key members of the team.
Key expertise in the majority of the following areas is essential:
IT contracts of all types, including App and other software development, software licensing, software agreements, implementation projects, system supplies and SaaS arrangements
Procurement agreements, including group buying and other framework arrangements
Manufacturing and supply agreements
Outsourcing agreements including FM, logistics, catering, large scale cleaning
Distribution and agency agreements
e-commerce, website terms
standard business terms
franchising agreements
Advisory work including:
Advertising claims and copy clearance
Commercial agency
Consumer issues (Consumer Credit, Distance Selling etc.)
Contract interpretation
Data Protection
Freedom of Information
Limits on liability
ABOUT YOU
With 3-5pqe, you will have a background of a City or rated regional/national practice background.
Experience of a variety of commercial contracts and IT expertise across a number of different sectors preferable along ideally with an interest in competition law.
Demonstrable team approach to external and internal clients, where appropriate
Confident, self-starter with a pro-active approach to work
Experience in producing, amending and negotiating a range of agreements to a variety of business sectors
Attendance at external and internal events. Writing articles and technical updates
