Ministry of Sound has launched a new live/work/play business - The Ministry - which it intends to significantly scale on the basis of a hub strategy. Aggressively acquiring freehold sites both in the UK and overseas to develop a portfolio of large scale mixed use schemes aimed at the creative industries. This bold dynamic move is part of a greater vision to capitalise on the changing intersection between community and working environment. The Ministry is leading this initiative by launching a unique space in Central London in the coming weeks.

Key to this is the recruitment of a dynamic business leader who will take a proactive role in the anticipated growth.

Ministry of Sound is seeking a CFO with superlative skills, knowledge and contacts in property acquisition, development and finance and corporate structuring.

The ideal candidate must have a detailed knowledge of this process - from the dynamics of property acquisition and/or partnerships, to the structuring of appropriate corporate vehicles to the range of financing options available.

The Ministry is a start up, so a start-up mentality, work ethic and an entrepreneurial approach is essential.

Alongside the business development focus the CFO will oversee the existing financial operations of the other businesses within the Group which encompasses a nightclub, music publishing business and various ancillary activities. Responsibilities will include day to day financial management, cashflow forecasting, banking, Audit, Tax and team management. This may move to a number two as the business gains momentum.
