Senior Legal Counsel

A leading global consumer brand in technology hardware and software devices with a sales turnover of £30 bn seeks the support of an Anti-Trust Legal Counsel to support the Regulatory & Compliance team on anti-trust matters.

Responsibilities of the Senior Anti-Trust Legal Counsel:

• Supporting the Head of Legal and the Regulatory & Compliance team on all legal issues relating to anti-trust.
• Providing anti-trust advice to the European subsidiaries and to HQ in Asia.
• Advising on day-to-day anti-trust issues arising in relation to commercial contracts and key business initiatives for the European subsidiaries.
• Drafting and reviewing guidelines and training materials
• Overseeing the management and review of 'Requests for Information' from authorities in connection with such investigations and producing responses to the same.
• Assisting with competition law litigation (both defensive and offensive).

The Ideal Anti-Trust Legal Counsel:

• Must be a UK/EU qualified solicitor.
• Will have thorough knowledge of competition law issues.
• Ideally have at least 3 years' experience of working on anti-trust matters from working at a top competition law firm or a major corporate.
• Will have in-house legal counsel experience of advising on anti-trust matters, particularly in assisting the business in dealing with regulatory authorities, is highly desirable.
• Must have good academics with legal training from a top tier UK practice or international law firm.
