The hiring Client is a repeat client of Michael Page and specifically Michael Page Legal. The business is Europe's largest FM & Energy Services business & a Global leader in Energy.

Description

The main duties can be summarised as follows:

• The role of the Legal Council is to be responsibility for legal support on a broad range of high value complex commercial construction and outsource transactions;
• Providing commercial legal advice;
• Assisting in the governance of transactions at local and group level;
• Working closely with colleagues including throughout the Group and with customers;
• Management of external legal resource on particular projects; and
• Providing advice to operational teams on appropriate strategies in relation to disputes that have not yet been formalised.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• have good knowledge of relevant areas of law including property development, outsourcing, Construction Act, CDM Regulations, contract, commercial, energy supply and bribery and corruption.
• have experience and knowledge of UK construction industry standard forms and public procurement.
• have strong drafting and negotiating skills.
• be comfortable with stakeholder management but also able to work with colleagues at all levels of the business
