Funds Lawyer, Global Investment Manager- Senior Legal Counsel- Sydney based

Our client, a leading global investment manager, is looking for an experienced funds lawyer to join their Sydney based legal team.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage the Company Secretariat function including coordinating and preparing minutes for monthly board meetings
• Provide legal advice in relation to the funds management business.
• Advice on Product Issues including involvement in the product development process, fund registration, disclosure documentation and marketing
• Contractual drafting, negotiations and administration.

Skills and Experience

• Qualification lawyer with 8+ PQE in the financial services industry in private practice or in-house
• Knowledge of the managed funds industry as well as general corporate laws and regulatory requirements
• Experience in negotiation of ISDAs and Futures Agreements would be desirable
• Company secretary experience would be beneficial
