Our client, a leading global law firm, is looking for a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join its compliance function!

 

The Role
Key responsibilities of the role will be to:

• Identify and analyse potential conflict and confidential information issues arising from potential and existing matters
• Implement solutions to resolve conflicts and confidentiality issues.
• Assist with the development, administration, monitoring and maintenance of policies and procedures and ensure conflicts, risk and related issues are dealt with consistently across the firm.
• Answer all queries relating to the interpretation of relevant legislation, regulation and firm policies pertaining to conflicts of interest, regulatory compliance and AML.
• Undertake due diligence and a full risk assessment on new clients.
• Deliver training on risk issues to the firm and be an ambassador for the team within the wider firm.

 

Candidate Requirements
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

• Be a qualified lawyer, either UK or overseas
• A comprehensive knowledge of applicable ethical rules and guidelines and related compliance issues applicable to international law firms. 
• The ability to gather and analyse information and to use the results of that analysis to make effective decisions and find innovative solutions to problems. 
• Ability to communicate persuasively and clearly with all members of the Firm, both orally and in writing.
• Responsive to the demands of lawyers and have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.

• Proven ability to solve problems in a methodical and practical way.
• The ability to plan and organise effectively in order to meet business priorities. 
• The ability to form working relationships with others
• Ability to promote the value of a compliance culture.
