This highly profitable business services group, with a turnover of c£12m and with an EBITDA of c£7m, is pre-eminent in its market offering and following the impending PE backing the service will be rolled-out throughout the UK.
Ultimately, the business will conclude an exit event via a secondary buy-out or through a trade sale within a 3 to 5 year period.
In order for the business, and its financial controls and reporting, to transition from an owner-managed operation to a fit-for-purpose PE structure, the board are seeking to appoint a CFO. You will lead this project and support the executive board in the development of the business and take full responsibility for the ultimate exit process.
The challenge requires that you will possess the following attributes and background:
- A full professional qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA).
- Sector experience should have been gained within a business services operation, ideally with a contracting business model.
- Experience as a board director within a leveraged business and the stakeholder management therein.
- Experience of a hands-on implementation of a managment information system.
- A focus on driving cost reduction and business efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills to ensure the change management projects are effectively implemented.
- Exposure to a rapid growth project where turnover grew substantially whilst maintaining adequate working capital.
- Ideally, experience of M&A as there may be opportunities for future opportunistic acquisitions.
