International Regional Financial Controller

The organisation has undergone a transformation programme, creating an exciting high-profile UAE, Middle Eastern region senior financial management opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake an International Regional Financial Controller/Senior Finance Business Partner role. Supporting the Regional MD, you will be responsible for regional financial leadership, business partnering several countries in the region, reporting to the Group CFO on Financial Controls & Commercial Reporting, Client Job costing and WIP, Financial Strategy, financial planning & analysis - FP&A, budgeting & forecasting and business & competitor analysis. Your brief includes:

•Act as the right hand to the Regional MD
•Acting as a Senior Finance Business Partner with the ME Region Country heads, Functional/skills lines heads, providing financial insights MI/BI including budgeting, actual spend & organisational design to align with budget spend & business needs
•Providing full country/region P&L financial insights to assess business performance, opportunities for business growth, client & customer profitability working with WIP work-in-progress, Job costing, team alignment and cost reduction opportunities
•Lead the monthly close process, deliver improved & timely reporting and processing effectively driving board level MI/BI communication & budgeting orchestration within the region
•Lead on and deliver strong working capital, cashflow management and FOREX multi-currency accounting
•Analysis of financial performance & forecasting for ME functions
•Analysing trends in key performance indicators & developing relevant business insights
•Financial & Business leadership delivering the ME country's business review packs to proactively drive overall performance
•Ensuring the integrity of strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting processes including Excel modelling & template creation reporting to group

As a graduate ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant, having trained within the Big 4/Top 10 or a blue-chip environment, you will possess a strong track record in an Oil & Gas or Construction services & related heavy industry business, and come from a head office or division/operating company environment in the Middle Eastern arena or international Financial Controllership. With existing Controller/Finance Business partnering skills, you will demonstrate credibility, exposure to senior stakeholders, advanced Excel skills and ideally exposure to ERP technologies, alongside the ability to translate financial data into commercial language. The role demands commercial focus, outstanding interpersonal skills and confidence in challenging and influencing key decision makers.
