Reporting to the CFO, the role holder will support key operational stakeholders from a commercial finance perspective in managing the growth of the Division. The role will encompass finance, operations, strategy, planning and Board participation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the Divisional finance function, compiling business cases and driving acquisition activity
Driving strategy and implementing key KPIs
Critically evaluating financial performance and contributing to medium and long range planning
Implementing measures geared towards improving performance whilst enabling stakeholders to make composed business decisions
Managing the production of astute Divisional reporting
Raising the profile of finance and liaising with wider operational teams to put finance into a meaningful context
Mentoring personnel and leading strategic projects as required
The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a demonstrable track record of understanding complex business models quickly so as to make a tangible difference to financial performance in a short period of time. Applicants must be able to work as a trusted partner to senior executives and experience of enhancing controls and quality management information is essential. Significant experience as a finance leader within general insurance would be advantageous.
