Description

This is a great move for a Corporate or Commercial lawyer who is looking to move away from the traditional private practice model. This would suit somebody who is looking to move away into an in-house role.

The team is looking for somebody to come in and take the lead on Corporate and Commercial matters. This will typically involve leading on small mergers and acquisitions as well as as picking up all commercial contracts that come in. At the moment the workload is weighted 70/30 in favour of commercial work.

The team get a lot of ad hoc queries so this will suit a confident lawyer who wants to be challenged and not just fixed on a narrow area of law. A Corporate specialism would be advantageous but the most important thing to the Head of Legal is somebody who is willing to get stuck in and give different things a go.

The work is both national and international so you won't be compromising on quality of work or clients if you are looking to move away from a large private practice.

Profile

Ideally you will have some grounding in Corporate law or at least an interest and ability to pick up Corporate deals when they come in. The majority of the work is Commercial Contracts so the team is willing to take on a Commercial lawyer who has an open mind to other areas of law.

It's likely you'll have at least 3/4 years' PQE. The team will consider clients with all levelf of experience.

The team is completely open to lawyers who are working at very small private practices and wanting to make a step up or in-house lawyers looking for a new challenge.
